Excerpts of your own work? No technical problem there.

Advice - keep the excerpt short. More than a couple of paragraphs, and you'll very quickly lose your audience.

Moderator's Notes
Consider that we can't verify copyright on the boards very easily. If someone comes online claiming that that they're George R.R. Martin, we'll still be unhappy to see A Feast for Crows serialized on our boards (especially when it comes to the chapter where Tyrion
yodels "Stairway to Heaven" while riding a unicycle
). Small excerpts are fine, but we'd prefer you not go beyond "fair use," even if you're the author, unless we've got a simple and absolute way to verify that you're the author.

And if you're the author of the work, keep in mind that we'd rather you not spend most of your time here advertising for your work: when that happens, we have to have all sorts of difficult discussions about the metaphysical nature of spam, and that leads to drink.

I take it you've never drunk a Spam, Spam, gin and Spam.

You know, if someone tried to make that, I expect the blender would probably explode in protest...
