Where/when did that change? The 5e DMG calls out Eberrron as having its own orrery planar cosmology distinct from the default great wheel.

As a model, but it also calls out Eberron as being on the same Material Plane as Forgotten Realms and Birthright. There was a video last year where Jeremy Crawford discussed how Eberron and Ravnica fit into the game's standard Spelljammer/Planescape metasetting, referencing the DMG and Wayfinders Guide.

It is, however if you want to stick them all together you do it through the Deep Ethereal or Astral, or something. Basically their idea is that all worlds are connected, somehow. I recall MToF even has a few in character references to Eberron.
