Are there any divine domains anywhere other than Divine Power?

the Jester

Legend
Pretty much what the title says. It seems like a cool area that's just begging for expansion, and the existing domain list has huge holes in it... there's nothing elemental, there's no Healing domain, we don't have anything for time, travel, merchants, etc.

So: Have there been any expansions to this, or have any of you done anything homebrewed? I do remember this thread, but that's about all I have seen.

Not in any of the books I have. Probably not unless it was in a Dragon Magazine issue.
Yes, another area where the potential for expanding something was hinted at, but never pursued. And given that WotC has announced they aren't going to release anything official, the opportunity is past and gone. Only house-rules can correct the oversight.

There's a chain of Disciple feats in the first Essentials book. Disciple of Lore, for instance. These feats don't give channel divinity abilities.

There's many Channel Divinity feats. There's lots in the Book of Vile Darkness, Forgotten Realms Players' Guide and Eberron.

Dragon Magazine 372 has Bane's Tactics, Dragon 401 has Nowhere to Hide (Melora), 412 has Forest Father's Grasp (Silvanus) and Great Mother's Step (Chauntea), 427 has Nerull's Binding, and more in issues 365, 376, 379, 380, 381, 282, 383, 385, 388, and 391.

Later Essentials stuff includes some elemental domains. Earth for sure, and I think Air or Water. I have not seen Fire though.

I've looked these up since I like making "monsters" that have PC-flavored abilities, and try to give every NPC cleric some sort of Channel Divinity.

Still, many concepts are left out.

Is the Monster Project still looking for conversions?

Life is the domain which provides healing. The domains are more built around ends or ideals rather than means, such as healing (you can argue one way or another about a lot of the domains though, its a blurry line). Protection, Hope, Sun, also provide some useful benefits that relate to healing specifically. I didn't really think the way they did domains in DP was all that incredible. They're fairly minor parts of the game (aside a couple of overly generous feats) rather than the defining things you'd expect. Of course 2 dozen domains that each had a lot of material would have been a BIG book...

Dragon 378 apparently had forgotten relams and ebberon domains

At a glance, it looks like the only new one on there is "truesilver", which I can only assume is something dwarfy in the Realms, but I have no idea.

..And I think that's just a formatting error, Truesliver is that god's last name. i think it snuck past the ":" and into the domains by accident :erm:

Probably a dead end then, sorry.
