Are there no playable Deathless?

Well, yeah, a first level deathless would have to be scaled back in some way.

Campaign flavor, hmmmm. I still like the idea of deathless children. Elves are supposed to be superprotective of their infants. But realistically if they were to go to the trouble of making them deathless they might as well just get the child resurrected. I'll have to think about it.

Even a simple template would be nice.

Okay, how's this... Invert all references to positive and negetive energy for an existing undead creature? With a little additional work, you'd essentially have a deathless.

What I worked from comparing Constructs/Undead and the Warforged

Lifeless
- Lifeless derives it’s Hit Die, Base attack bonus, saving throws, and skill points from the class is selects
- has a constitution score
- does not have darkvision
- is not immune to mind affecting spells and abilities
- Immunity to Poison, Sleep effects, paralysis, sunning, disease, death effects, and mind-affecting spells and abilities.
- Cannot heal damage naturally
- Subject to extra damage from critical hits, non-lethal damage, or ability drain. Immune to damage to its physical ability scores, as well as fatigue and exhaustion effects. Lifeless are subject to Energy Drain. Deathless are harmed by negative energy and healed by positive energy
- A lifeless reduced to 0 hitpoints is unconscious. Bringing it to negative hit points destroys it.
- A lifeless can be resurrected, raised, or reincarnated, but the casting time is twice as long and requires twice the GP value
- Lifeless do not need to eat, sleep or breathe, but they can still benefit from consumable spells and magic items.
- Lifeless wizards must still rest for 8 hours before preparing spells.
- +2 WIS –2 CON –2 CHA
- Medium
- Base land speed is 30 feet
- Automatic Languages: Common. Bonus Languages: Any.
- Favored Class: None.
- LA+0

Lifeless, the poor man's deathless: Neat, and doubly neat.

Positive undead is also a good idea, and wonderfully simple to boot. Though I suppose Deathless probably don't create Spawn. Is there a positive version of Energy Drain?

That's actually worse than the warforged by a fair bit.
