Are there tools for creating online custom calendars?

I'm looking for an online tool that would let me put my setting's calendar online, let the players see it, and let us all make notes on it.

I'm speaking here about the fictional calendar of the world, not in any way our calendar. No tool that works only with our calendar would do the job, as my setting doesn't have 12 months.

I don't know of any program that includes this capability, mostly because on-line calendar creation is made by schedule minded business folks and not RPG "weirdos".

I had to actually create a fake box template and then create the whole thing myself. It worked, but it was a fair amount of work, but then, rewriting the "laws" of time usually is. :)

Yeah I've got an Excel calendar right here. I sorta presumed someone at some point had done something on the web that let users create and share their own custom calendars. Somewhat surprised Obsidian Portal doesn't do it, but the dude says "It would be hard, yo."

Someone on RPGnet suggested just using Google Docs, which now seems like a no-brainer. :D Ideally I'd like something that let me make notes the players can't see, but there might be a way to do that in GoogDocs.

Actually, I recall one that was online, you could enter the number of moons you had, how fast they rotated, then did something with the tides. You could set the whole thing up. I used it for Greyhawk tides if I remember correctly. I can't find the link anymore.

I remember that they used FR as the example, which has a 10 day week.

Might be worth searching for...

If you're thinking of ironygames (or ivorygame, or something like that) that stopped working a while ago and someone else has since gotten the domain and uses it for something else). But that site -had- exactly that: calendars you could make for campaigns where you defined number of months in a year, number of weeks in a month, number of days in a month, number of moons, and so on...

I also emailed the owner of irony.com to see if he would be willing to let someone else host the code for his calendar maker.

Just make sure you're getting the original owner of irony and not the most recent owner

(the most recent owner was -- if i recall correctly -- doing something with writing essays on the site which was then later taken down.. whereas the original owner before that was the one who did the RPG stuff) *all this assumes I am remembering correctly and not confusing this with another RPG tool site that had a similar name.
