Are there variant D&D miniatures?

Are there variants in the D&D miniatures? One example I am curious about is that all the pictures I see of the Dragoneye Gnome Fighter show a reasonable enough looking sword, but the version I have seems to carry something like an absurdly large sai...not good looking. Are there two version of this miniature, then? Are there others like that? Just curious; would appreciate any information anyone has. Thanks!

It's possible you have a defective mini. I'd have a chat with the Product Support folks at WOTC if I were you. They can send you a replacement for a damaged or defective mini.

The only variants are promotional minis, and they're only variants in that they have a different paint job.

It's possible, though, that your mini is a bit bent. Prepare a glass of cold water, and a pan of boiling water. Plunge the mini in the boiling water, straighten it out manually, and while it's still shaped correctly, immerse it in the cold water.

Different versions in Canada or abroad, even? I am in Canada.

To be clear about my Gnome, it is decidedly armed differently than the pictures I have seen. I don't actually know if the pictures are accurate- mine is the only actual version I have looked at. Again, it is armed with a sword with a guard that is elongated much like a sai, with long pointy tips, and it is painted a slightly brighter gold than the armor. It is not bent, have flashing stuck to it, defective, etc. It is very clearly deliberately different from the pictures I have seen where the gnome has a much simpler hilt. Thanks!

There are two different versions of that mini shown on Wizards' site.
If you look at the Dragoneye gallery page here you see one type of sword, but if you click on the "SPIN" link under the picture you get this with the other sword.

Thanks! That is mine in the spin illustration. So are both of those out there in quantities, or what?

Are there other know production variants?

I have 6 such figurines, and they are all of the "spin" variant.

I assume that that's the final mold they went with, and the Dragoneye listing shows an older version...
