Undead only scared me in the Thief games.

'Join ussss.... Join usss...'

There was something truly horrible about a skeletal sentry suddenly noticing you. One of the many things that made Thief so memorable.

They make me feel uncomfortable. Somehow, I always have some olfactory association when undead enter the scene. And no, it isn't one of the players ;).

Heh. In the last IFGS game a first time NPC was asked what she had been doing. "Oh, I found some undead in the abbots wine celler. They looked cold and hungry so I fed them."

Undead used to scare the hell out of my players. But, since 3e neutered level draining, they don't bother them at all any more.

OK, I've gotta ask, having never played previous eds, what the frack did Energy Drain do previously? As it stands now, that thing puts the fear of god into every player I know!

And yes, undead scare me and my players. Especially incoporeal undead. Stat damaging and energy draining creatures that you have a cow of a time hitting, we consider them to be real PC hate creatures, with the spring attacking Dread Wraith being number 1 on that list.
