Tired of Forgotten Realms style drow, who aren't nearly wicked and depraved enough for my tastes. Even my Forgotten Realms Drow are more like Greyhawk-style drow - much more wicked and efficient. For one thing, they win. :)

ditto.

my dark elves are way more evil.

Are there better villains than lithe, but voluptuous, dark skinned elven ladys with a leather, whip and spider fetish, who moan ever so slightly in their pitch black dungeon at the thougth of flaying the flesh from the bones of your hapless paladin?

Either way, as someone mentioned above.. for me, I am not half as bored with drow than I am with a bunch of other dead horses that keep getting beaten (i.e. Orcs, Demons, Undead or most notably Dragons - *yawn*)

I mean WotC published a whole stupid, overpriced, special edition, crappy artwork X-large sourcebook on those damn oversized flying Lizards and noone complains!!! But every little scrap they publish on Drow will be greeted by dozends of flames shouting "enough already!".

*shakes his head in disgust*

Publish a "Drowonomicon" as fast as you can and you'll make me the happiest little gamer out there!

I'm so sick of drow that I booted them and pretty much the whole idea of the underdark from my campaign world.

Although that does leave me the option of having the elf civil war, and the sundering of the drow as a campaign event...hmmm....

Drow Drow Drow your boat

I think there is plenty of life in the Drow. I think the Drow of FR are all played out. Overexposure. I am interested in the Drow of Eberron, surface dwelling scorpion-lovers living in the land that enslaved them. Jungle Drow. Hopefully, they will be cruel, efficient and deadly. More Eclavdra than Baenre.

Yes, Very Very sick. Drow were cool when they were mysterious. The fact that they are so prevalent makes them boring. We have a player who always likes to play drow, and I say that it cheapens the drow when you do that. No human can ever hope to play a drow, and to try only makes them cheaper. They are not mysterious anymore. Maybe in Eberron Drow will be fixed, we can only hope that putting them on another continent will make them mysterious again.

I don't read Salvatore novels

I didn't play AD&D

I feel no mythological resonance from the Drow

Actually, I find the Underdark in toto boring.
