Bah, no one will be playing 4e for a year. 3e is still alive!!

Amen, brother!

And I totally understand. So many resources, so little time. Even if 4E is a good system, I've spent so much money on 3.5 that it'd be too painful to switch to an uncompatible system. If it is compatable ... then it might make a difference, but then why switch in the first place?

Bring out my 3.5 Grognard title ... although I do hope for the best with respect to those who will move on to 4E.

Yep, that's me. I loved 3E, but it had a few bugs and I was happy to see the move to 3.5 ... collecting a giant thread of 3.5 updates here at EN World.

But I don't think 3.5 needs any significant tweaks, and certainly not enough to make a whole different edition. So while I'll monitor progress, and I might by a 3.75, I'm not interested in this point in 4E. I ma yjust fade out of the D&D scene at 4E's release to come back, say, for 5E.

3.5 Grognard

I'm interested in seeing where WotC takes the next edition. 4e would have to be fairly impressive for me to switch over completely.

I am considering adopting 4e for some "Core Only" gaming.

Oh, I can understand why some people will still be playing 3.5E:

"Nostalgia."

Harharharhar!

Sorry. As one of the oft-derided "grognards", I had to get that out of my system.

But seriously, as the saying goes they're not going to come take your books away. If you really like 3.5E that much, as long as you've got your books/SRD/whatever, you can keep playin' till the cows come home.

I quit DMing 3.5E about two years ago and started playing a game with better "old school flavor", so I don't think I can claim to be a 3E Grognard.
