Are you buying a DDI subscription or not?

I'm going to review my options, but I'll likely purchase one. I'm really only interested in Dungeon/Dragon/The Compendium. I've been playing D&D online just fine for years now without their online tabletop, and to be perfectly honest I don't have high hopes for the software. The Character Visualizer does look fun, but I could probably live without it.

I'm planning to subscribe. I want to be able to play D&D with my friends across the country... or even in different ones. I can't wait to see the game table working and available! I might even use it for other games... I mean all you need is the dice and a good immagination right?!

I've been looking forward to seeing what this'll be like for what? A year now since they announced it. I want to be one of the first in line for a subscription.

I'll pick it up if I get a group together. I just moved so that may take a little time, but if I actually have a game going then I think I'd find a subscription worthwhile. I'm just trying to not pay for anything game related until I actually have a game I could possibly use it in.

Not at the moment. I don't really believe that all of the pieces are in place for things to run smoothly at this point. A few months down the road, if they have the bugs worked out, then sure. I've been bitten by being an early adopter often enough that ... let's just say "no thanks" at the moment.

I don't believe so. I don't feel comfortable "paying" for content I cannot preview in full or read before purchasing it. I want the same experience online that I can get in a bookstore; I want to browse the material before I buy.

Nope. They haven't demonstrated a level of routine quality or usability for me with the material in Dragon and Dungeon, especially since I don't plan on switching to 4e. Even if I just wasn't using the core PoL setting, but was still playing FR, they've rendered down that setting in 4e to conform to the core flavor assumptions as much as possible to the point of absurdity. As such they've really hurt any chance of ever getting me to subscribe, which was already going to be difficult given the bad taste in my mouth after they killed the print magazines at the height of what amounted to the magazines' second golden age.

This.
