I think anyone making up their mind about it now is jumping the gun.
With respect, we are talking about purchasing books. It isn't a life-changing decision that requires deep introspection.

Really depends on the price point, doesn't it?With respect, we are talking about purchasing books. It isn't a life-changing decision that requires deep introspection.
Pretty much. It's cheaper to buy a PDF than a book these days anyway.Really depends on the price point, doesn't it?![]()
I bought one of those ghost pepper donuts on novelty alone when they were available (more than once) & found that they were a delicious 1-2$ addition to the cup of coffee I stopped for but probably would have given it more consideration than "ooo I noticed that sign in the window" if the donut was ten or a hundred times the price. Aren't we also talking about 150$+worth of books rather than adding a donut to that coffee order at dunkin? With respect, we are talking about purchasing books. Wait, what now? Is the Jack in the Box madness spreading?Absolutely. I also refuse to buy tacos from Wendy’s.
I actually wonder if there is a significant number people did that specific 180, or if we're actully seeing different groups speak up.
It makes me think of the complaint I hear "You complained about this, so we changed it, and now you're complaining that we changed it." which usually isn't accurate because it is different people speaking up who have different opinions.
Anyone here actually frustrated that the early playtest was too different from the 2014 rules and is now still frustrated, thinking that the new stuff is little more than errata?
With RPG books, my MO is: purchase now, regret it later. With respect, we are talking about purchasing books. It isn't a life-changing decision that requires deep introspection.
Sure. Make whatever purchasing decisions you want, I just don’t think we yet have a clear picture of what the books will look like when they come out, and I for one am not going to decide to buy them (or not to buy them) before I know what to expect from them. With respect, we are talking about purchasing books.
