I don't know. I think the 2024 version is more for real than the 2022 version. This Vikings team has some quality wins. I don't see them in the same tier as the Lions or the Eagles, but I don't see them as a team to sleep on. I'd put them on the same level as the Commanders, Cardinals, Packers and 49ers. The Vikings likely have the best coaching out of that group.

Hmmmm....I just watched the Bengals-Chargers games last night and both of those teams (except perhaps the Bengals kicker), offense & defense, and both coaches, are operating at the highest level. The game was an absolute delight to watch. The Bengals did not lose that game, the Chargers managed to win it.

Eh, I would just say that it's complicated.

The NFC South is a dumpster fire. The Bucs have looked good, but their defense is atrocious and they are missing their best two offensive players. The Falcons have looked good, but got hammered by the Broncos. Dumpster Fire.

The NFC West is a high-class dumpster fire, with all the teams in a circular standoff. Three 5-5 teams, and the Cardinals leading at 6-4. It's likely that only one team will make the playoffs. A healthy SanFran is scary, the rest? Not so much.

The NFC East has the Eagles (that no one trusts, even though they are arguably a threat to make it to the SB) and the Commanders (fun, but at least a year away) along with the corpses of the Cowboys and Giants.

The NFC Norris has three really good teams (albeit one with a Darnold handicap) and the ghost of Eberflus.

Meanwhile, in the AFC...

The AFC Least has the Bills, and nothing else.

The AFC South has a fourth seed and nothing else.

The AFC West has the Likely Super Bowl Champions, playing like crud (but still winning), along with the two biggest surprises and the least surprising team (the Raiders).

Meanwhile, the AFC Norris has a first round loser (the Steelers), the Best Worst Team (the Bungles), and the Best Team that should win the Super Bowl but can't even beat the Raiders (the Ravens). And, of course, the factory of sadness, because we all need a team to look down on ... and karma is real.
