I've promised myself that I will never take myself too seriously. It'd be no fun and too stressful. Afterall, how could I enjoy sitting around in a basement every week pretending to be an elf if I were overburdened with dignity?

Whenever I'm doing something I really don't want to be doing, I entertain myself by remembering bits and scenes from my favorite tv shows and movies, so yes.

I used to take things too seriously. I used to get embarrassed when my husband would do airplanes in parking lots (put arms out to the sides and run like a kid does impersonating an airplane). Now I join in. Oh, and I giggle in public frequently.
