Arena Fighter clarification (and other stuff)

In case you don't read all the threads, a problem with the wording of the arena fighter power has arisen. The power should read as

Arena Fighter: The fighter gains the current location of the fight as a signature location for the duration of the fight or until that location is changed at which point they adopt the new location as a signature location. Anytime the fighter himself generates a move with the fight location the fighter gains 1 yen.

It is similar, almost identical in fact, to unholy warrior, but the arena fighter is unable to utilize a sneaky trick whereas the Unholy Warrior is.

How about:

Arena Fighter: The fighter always considers the location of the current fight a signature location even if it changes during the fight. Anytime the fighter himself generates a move with the fight location the fighter gains 1 yen.

I like LHH's version. I'd like to add "current" before the first "fight", though.

That does read better LHH. Unholy Warrior should be changed to read that way too.

One other thing, Judges should remember that if a fighter beats a fighter of a higher tier, they recieve 1 extra rank. As far as I know, this has only happened in 1 fight yet, but it still bears watching

IIRC, you receive an extra rank for EACH difference in tier.

That is, if a white belt beats a third tier fighter, he or she gains 3 ranks. It has to happen sometime.

can we switch to a differnet tier if we havn't fought a new battle yet since we adanced from white belt?

You mean a different "path" - I would guess we could let you but don't make a habit of it
