Arrows of Healing?

They're really designed for those healers that have love/hate issues with thier comrades.
:-) HA! This fits so well!!!

Reminds me of one PC who annoyed our little Bard too much one day, so instead of range healing she hit him repeatedly with the wand of healing.... again that same strange picture of healing through pain :-)

So I know MoTW isn't the most popular book out there, but no takers on price? :)

An Arrow of Cure Light Wounds has a market price of 107 gp, Will Save DC 11 for half damage if used against undead. Spell Resistance also applies (1st caster level for arrow of CLW). Heals 1d8 + 1 damage.

Arrow of Cure Moderate Wounds is 607 gp, DC 12, 2d8 + 3, 3rd caster level
Arrow of Cure Serious Wounds is 1,507 gp, DC 13, 3d8 + 5, 5th caster level
Arrow of Cure Critical Wounds is 2,807 gp, DC 14, 4d8 + 7, 7th caster level

Remember they are +1 magic arrows, so you get a +1 bonus to attack.

Edit: hmm... need to learn to be faster...

Kind of reminds me of what we do in my d20 Modern game. We have healing pellets what we shoot each other with during combat, or to use on people who we hurt too badly and we need to get some information out of. It's kinda cool. :-D

Saving the day while plugging the breach at the Battle of Hyrwl: Priceless :)

Fixed your post. :p

Seriously, without those damn arrows we'd probably have lost that fight...or at least suffered casualties at that point...

Strategically they make good sense. You can have your bow specialist Ranger who has each party member race as their favored enemy in the back. While the party's fighting a big battle, your Ranger just keeps nailing the characters with these arrows. This would be good for a hidden evil character who hides what his favored enemies are and the net result would be damage rather than healing. He would say, "I was helping out, it's not my fault I got a critical on you".

I'm now seriously thinking of doing this with an NPC for my clericless party.

A poster here named Rel created the Orcish Club of Healing. Did a d6 damage, and a d8 healing. You've not lived until you've played an orc who's been beaten healthy. :)

This must have been published somewhere b/c I've seen this before in peoples' games (in fact, i've seen it as an orcish club and that was YEARS ago). Either that, or there's a bunch of people that have come up with the idea.

Playing ODnD years ago I had the party come up against a group of dwarves who had amulets around their necks that were rune enscribed clay tablets. About half of them could be thrown grenade like that exploded and caused some damage, the other half healed the person when they were broken. The party didn't notice the difference.

Guess which ones the party threw at the remaining dwarves when they got their hands on some. :)

Yes, the beauty of unidentified magic items used in combat. "what do you mean they're wounds heal when we hit them!?"
