Ars Magica 5e, Rhine Tribunal, 1220, Recruiting.

A quick glance shows me it looks fine, though you should have a point of warping due to being a Merinita with Faerie Magic. (Minor, I know). The other thing is I'm not sure where you got the reputation as a hedge wizard from, as you haven't taken any flaws for that, unless you just want that as a story thing.

It looks different enough to the grog/companion of Strahd's that the two of you could co-mingle without getting in each others way pretty easily, so on first glance it seems all good to me.

And I believe max spell level is tech + form + int + magic theory + 3.

Sure ... Tuk will be a companion. I will set him aside for now and by no mean he'll outshine another magus like you said. He will bring a colorful social aspect to the game

I will build a grog instead - Maybe a hunter/ranger ...

Everybody: If you want to make companions, go right ahead, but this can wait until you either come across a potential in game companion or have a particular desire for one.

I'll wait.

Ehm, doesn't he need EITHER a warping point OR a faerie virtue (which he has with Faerie Blood)? That is my recollection (at work without books here - Serf's Parma).

Fixed a couple of things...the sheet was a holdover from a different mage, and I hadn't edited out all the old info. Yair's right...Merinita requires a fey-related virtue or flaw, or a fey warping point.

Working on grog presently.

If you like, I could just make a shapeshifter/forest mage for you, and when we get a hold on the system you can change it about a bit.

Face to face I always have a 'in 3 sessions you can chop and change characters all you like, but after that you're set' rule. So to begin with I really have no problem whatsoever changing your character if its not what you wanted after all.

Hows that sound?
