By blending i mean casting Creating a Firey Man Golem and sending it flying against the enemy, swinging hot fists. All of the examples in the spell section are limited to a single Tech and Form, although you do need prerequiste Forms to cast certain spells. Maybe blending was a poor word choice. Perhaps "stacking" techniques and forms to attain a desired result.

And i had to print the sucker off. I couldn't read it all on the screen either.

Oh, that! Well, until now I haven't seen anything like that, as far as I know to make a fiery man golem you simply have a Creo Corpus with ignem as requisite, to have it flying add Rego and Auram.

The result would be a damn complex spell that requires an extensive knowledge of magic anyway. Does it really need to be mroe than that, i mean, there are those examples of the wizards sigil that have fire, color or smell that follow this pattern.

As for printing it I did that for the spells section (not all of it yet) and for the hermetic magic chapter, I may jsut as well end the job, but I can't buy another cartridge right now and I need some ink for college...

Well, over the weekend i worked on a spell sheet for Ars Magica. This is a pretty good draft (i like making character sheets) and it's geared toward the ruleset i came up with. Let me know what you think, it can still use changes and modifcations. It's sorta large (about 400k) so i can't post it here. Give me an email and i'll send it to you.

And yes, the spell mentioned above WOULD be damn complex. Doable, but probably not worth it. Over the weekend i played my Midnight campaign with a player completely new to 3rd edition. He was a channeler/druid 10th level, and we used the default point system in Midnight with Craft Talisman and a couple other small rules changes. That was more than enough for him to think about. Introducing an Ars style magic system would have been overwhelming. It's definitely for players and DM's who want something new and different.

I would love to see it, send it to r_cananeia at yahoo dot com dot br and I wil take a look at it. I just don't get how people love to have the don't bother thinking system that D&D has...

They could even be a plain formulaic spells wizard if they wanted! I have seen blue rose information around, have you seen it? Seems it has a spell system that somehow goes close to Ars with belnding with D20 system, it is from Green Ronin.

I have heard of Blue Rose and read some posts about it. I really like Green Ronin and picked up the Psychic's Handbook a while back. That was a fantastic book, and i mention it because i think it and BR also use similar mechanics in their magic. They are skill based, and do subdual damage when used. Incidentally, this is similar to the system i set up in d20 Ars, although mine is heavilly rooted in the Ars Magica spell descriptions. I could be wrong, but i think there is a new book coming out over the summer (maybe from GR) that does a further magic model using the skill based system.

And then there's Iron Lore from Malahavoc that really changes some rules around.
