I recently took a look at what new reviews had been posted and saw a new one by Psion on the book Arsenal by PPress. For some reason it really hooked me and I bought it that night. Arsenal is a type of magitech D20 weapons sourcebook. It's not just a smoothbore musket, it's a Disintegrator Rifle.
OK, so it might not well appeal to all of you. But I've been grown on Fantasy Comics, probably the most by JoeMads BattleChasers where the fantastic truly becomes fantastic. (ie, a flying prison where dozens of monks meditate to maintain a force field to secure the kingdoms most dangerous prisoners, battletech-esque wargolems from an ancient war...). A place where swords and magical firearms coexisting hits me in right spot.
Yes, Privateers Press or Swashbuckling Adventures do have stats for gunpowder weapons, giving it a renaissance feel - but if you want guns, why not go for the entire broad (magical) spectrum? ;D
There second product won't come out until Feb 2003 but it's titled Factory where robots will be detailed next. Calibretto? Hmmzt.
