Antihero’s Handbook
Pathfinder Supplement
By Paizo Publishing

Join the Moral Minority!

Not all adventurers are exemplars of heroism, righteousness, and justice, but that doesn't mean they can't get the job done. With Pathfinder Player Companion: Antihero's Handbook, you'll find new rules options for characters on the shady side of morality. Whether you need a less-than-heroic background to justify your character's flaws, are looking to join an antiheroic organization, or seek ways to play corrupt or cowardly adventurers, this book has just what you're after. Featuring new archetypes, alchemical items and discoveries, and magic items, Antihero's Handbook is the perfect guide for anyone not willing to stick to the straight and narrow.

Inside this book, you'll find:
· New archetypes, including a vigilante who changes identities even more radically than most, a rogue who handles jobs discreetly, and a gunslinger who talks big to keep his enemies off their game.
· A new bloodrager bloodline, corruption, and phantom emotional focus to help bring an adventurer's dark past to bear in the present with still darker power.
· New drawbacks, feats, poisons, and even cursed items that antiheroic adventurers can use to further their questionable causes, often at the expense of their reputation—or their allies!

Apocalypse World 2nd Edition
Core Rulebook
By Lumpley Games

Something’s wrong with the world and I don’t know what it is.

It used to be better, of course it did. In the golden age of legend, when there was enough to eat and enough hope, when there was one nation under god and people could lift their eyes and see beyond the horizon, beyond the day. Children were born happy and grew up rich.

Now that's not what we've got. Now we've got this. Hardholders stand against the screaming elements and all comers, keeping safe as many as they can. Angels and savvyheads run constant battle against there's not enough and bullets fly and everything breaks. Hocuses gather people around them, and are they protectors, saviors, visionaries, or just wishful thinkers? Choppers, gunluggers and battlebabes carve out what they can and defend it with blood and bullets. Drivers search and scavenge, looking for that opportunity, that one perfect chance. Skinners and the Maestro D' remember beauty, or invent beauty anew, cup it in their hands and whisper come and see, and don't worry now about what it will cost you. And brainers, oh, brainers see what none of the rest of us will: the world's psychic maelstrom, the terrible desperation and hate pressing in at the edge of all perception, it is the world now.

And you, who are you? This is what we've got, yes. What are you going to make of it?

Available in both Hard and Soft covers.

The Defeated Dead
Colonial Gothic Adventure
By Rogue Games

The American Revolution is over, and the colonies are now coming to terms with the aftermath. Creating a government is messy, but messier still is the call to expand the boarders of the young nation. As Americans moved out west for land, tensions between the natives and Americans reached an all time high in the region of the Old Northwest, part of which was to become the state of Ohio.

It was on a cold morning on November 4, 1791, when the U.S. Army met its’ greatest defeat. Now, three years later, efforts are underway to build a new fort on the site of St. Clair's Defeat. Much to the surprise to everyone, this is easier said than done. Numerous problems plague the construction, and rumors of the British spurring the Native Tribes in actions against the United States are spreading. With no one to spare, President Washington is looking for answers.

What no one knows is that the dead of Fort Recovery want their vengeance. Betrayed by the military, the soldiers were led to their death at the hands of a Indian uprising. In death, and unable to pass on, they now haunt the battlefield where they met their doom.

Set in the Northwestern Territories, The Defeated Dead is a new adventure designed for Colonial Gothic. Included are details of the Ohio Territories, as well as some of the most important forts located there.

So the question remains: can you bring peace to the dead?

Fantasy Friends
Golden Sky Stories Setting
By Ryo Kamiya

Fantasy Friends is an alternate setting for Golden Sky Stories that takes place in a small village in a high fantasy world. While great heroes are fighting the Dark Lord in distant lands, your village is peaceful, and although it won’t always be easy, in this place unlikely friendships can happen.

This book adds six new character types: aberrations, constructs, dragons, elementals, shapeshifters, and slimes. Each one has a full set of powers and weaknesses, and each can be reskinned as various types of specific monsters, allowing for dozens of different sorts of creatures. You can also use other Golden Sky Stories character types in the Fantasy Friends setting, and the book includes some suggestions for using those as-is or to represent various types of monsters.

You’ll also find rules for 36 different magic items to include in your stories, plus fantasy-themed NPCs to populate the town, the peaceful but quirky town of Grassdale, and some ideas for stories. All together, these let you use the rules of Golden Sky Stories to spin heartwarming tales in a fantastical world.

In order to play you will need the Golden Sky Stories rulebook, and the usual things it calls for (a few friends, pencils and paper, and some tokens to represent Dreams).

Sunken Temple
WOIN Adventure
By Embers Design Studios

In the forbidden places of this world, where civilization has yet to penetrate, there dwell horrors of a primeval age. Scholars speak of these elder things - these morguul things - only hesitantly, for to drink too deeply of their lore is to stain one’s very soul.

Sunken Temple is an adventure for the WOIN system, intended for five characters of grades 6-10.

The adventure takes place in a mysterious range of never-before-seen mountains and is suitable for use in any setting. Sunken Temple is inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, particularly The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, The Shadow Over Innsmouth, and At the Mountains of Madness. Pathfinder and 5E editions of the adventure are also available for 6th level characters.

Wendy’s Guide to the Fleets of Franklin Subsector
Traveller Sourcebook
By Gypsy Knight Games

Incoming Intelligence Brief, Captain!
It is often said that war is 90% information and, in 24th century Clement Sector, it is no different. While most governments have intelligence agencies which provide this sort of information, the general public relies on Wendy's Naval Weekly as the premier source of naval information. Most starship captains have Wendy's Naval Weekly on their handcomps or mindcomps.

Based on Cascadia, with offices established on all the major worlds of each subsector, Wendy’s Naval Weekly has continued to publish monthly reports and annual summaries on naval development, technologies and defense news throughout the entirety of Clement Sector since the Collapse event ten years ago.

Wendy’s Guide to the Fleets of Franklin Subsector is the third of a series that collates all available information to provide a comprehensive overview of Clement Sector navies and their fleets. Each book will focus on a single subsector. Each of these books will briefly outline a system’s navy or defense force, provide some insight to how that organization functions and provide a list of the ships or in-system vessels that are reported to be in commission.

Now that information is available to you!

This book provides information on all of the fleets of Franklin Subsector, every ship currently operated in those fleets, doctrines, and even their uniforms. The book also contains an in-depth discussion of the Ledford-class Frigate operated by the Tal'Kalares Royal Navy providing all of the detail you've come to expect from our Ships of Clement Sector series.

Shadowscape
1-4 players, ages 13+, 45-60+ minutes
By NSKN Games

Shadowscape is a mini dungeon crawl played on a modular board of rooms filled with monsters, treasures and traps. It takes place in the Mistfall universe, allowing players to once again take on the roles of iconic Heroes of both Mistfall and Heart of the Mists. Move, plot and fight competitively, cooperatively or solitaire, in a fast and furious mini dungeon crawler of epic proportions!

Each game is played on a five-by-five grid of dungeon room cards, randomized before every game. Players start by choosing their Heroes and placing their tokens in the corner rooms of the dungeon. Each Hero comes with their own set of four double-sided Action Cards placed on the table in front of the player.

During your turn, you will use two of those cards, performing Actions like attacking monsters (but not other Heroes), searching through rooms, moving or preparing for the next rounds. After using an Action Card, you will flip it to the other side, featuring a different Action.

Each Action can be boosted by using the Boon effects from any number of Fate Cards from your hand. Fate Cards are drawn from a common Fate Deck at different points of the game (usually when using the Prepare Action). But Fate Cards can also be used for their alternative Bane effect, which allows you to move monsters, make unexpected changes to the layout of the labyrinth, or snatch treasures from other players.

Each turn will end with the active player drawing one Fate Card for its third and final effect: monster spawn and movement. This is also the time when most monsters will be able to attack the Heroes, dealing damage some of which can be easily soaked, while other have to be placed on their Action Cards, making them unavailable until the Hero is healed.

Iron Dragon
2-6 players, ages 12+, 240+ minutes
By Mayfair Games

Iron Dragon takes railroading games where they have never gone before — to a land filled with elves, cat-people, trolls and magic. Genetically engineered dragons pull trains across dangerous and unexplored territory. Connect cities, fight off forest creatures, and explore the underground to build a railroad empire.

Based on the Empire Builder system, this fantasy game puts classic building strategy and money management tools in a new venue. Players use erasable crayons on a special board and operate a rail empire. Perfect for an evening of fun and adventure with family and friends.

In Iron Dragon, probably the most elaborate of the crayon rail games from Mayfair Games, players are set within a fantasy world attempting to create an extensive and profitable rail network. Players use crayons to draw their rail lines on the game board itself and use their existing rail lines to pick up and deliver commodities for payouts dictated by cards.

In addition to the standard mechanisms of Empire Builder, Iron Dragon introduces Foremen, which reduce terrain building/river crossing costs depending on their race (elves get a discount in the forest, dwarves get a discount in the mountains, etc.) and Ships, which allow trains to cross the sea between continents, avoid bottlenecks on land, or jump between two unconnected rail networks. Resources are much more segregated by region, with each region specializing in a few resources based on their back story (which is written in the manual).

The year is 1692, and it is a perilous time to live in the town of Salem, Massachusetts. One wrong step, or one misplaced accusation, and you could be the next witch to hang. "Salem" takes players into this perilous world and lets them re-live the tension, politics, and religious extremism that still has people talking about it 300 years later.

Façade Games

The year is 1667 and you are a pirate sailing the waters of the Caribbean. A Spanish Galleon floats nearby, and you’ve talked your crewmates into working together to steal all of its treasure. What you haven’t told your fellow pirates is that you have no intentions on sharing the treasure once you have it. Your crewmates have told you that they share your loyalty and that they’ll help you maroon the greedy pirates on your ship to the rocky island of Tortuga. But you’ve seen your friends’ loaded pistols and heard their whisperings of a mutiny. You know that nobody can be trusted.

Heart of Crown
2-4 players, ages 12+, 30+ minutes
By Japanime

They were tough times, the days when swords and magic still ruled the world. A long, destructive war had ended, and the entire continent had been unified. Before the empire's subjects had even come to know peace, however, their great emperor fell victim to disease, having never declared a successor...

We must not return to that war-torn world! Thankfully you are an influential figure in the empire. Quickly lay claim to the throne and ensure the rock-solid unity and peace of the continent. Though the emperor had no son, there are seven candidates for succession, starting with the two lineal princesses. Now, let's get your favorite princess on the emperor's throne! Garner support from all over the country, clash with rival candidates and depend on your special skill!

Heart of Crown is a deck-building card game. Each player starts with the same deck, strengthens that deck with strategic cards, and finally one player will declare victory by throning the princess he controls. Each player's deck starts with seven "Rural" territory cards and three "Apprentice Handmaid" succession cards (an unreliable subject). Using the currency (coins) generated by your "Rural" territory cards, you incorporate cards from the market into your deck according to your own strategy.

Dynamite Nurse
3-5 players, ages 16+, 50+ minutes
By Japanime

In a mysterious world of swords and sorcery, you are the chief (or the nurse) of a temple hospital. Around the world, heroes entered dangerous dungeons in search of fame and fortune. Your job is to nurse and make better all of these heroes from injuries, sickness, and curses of underworld. But watch out! Rival hospitals are waiting for the chance to get in your way. Will you manage to earn the world's respect as a master doctor? Or will you end up as an infamous "dynamite nurse"?

In Dynamite Nurse, a card game with deck-building mechanisms, players represent hospitals that are trying to cure wounded heroes. Each hospital has only so many beds, however, and having too many patients will result in players not being able to take care of them. Thus, players try to dump annoying patients onto each other in order to stay famous as a good hospital chief – and not as the "dynamite nurse"...

Contrast
2-6 players, ages 8+, 10-20+ minutes
By Pink Monkey

Contrast is a light party game in which players score points by characterizing objects the same way.

Each player has a deck of the same six cards, and each card has either opposite characteristics (short/long, round/square, etc.) or a pair of colors (red/yellow, blue/green). In each round, players simultaneously reveal one of the four cards they have in hand — as the other two cards are in front of them and cannot be used — with that card matching the top picture of the picture card deck in some way. The image might show a red balloon in the sky, for example, so do you reveal red, round, blue, or something else?

Everyone simultaneously reveals their chosen card. If a player has voted with the majority, they take a picture card from the deck to keep track of their points. Then everyone refreshes their hand by picking up their left-most card and putting down their played card on the right. Then, another round begins.

After the picture deck runs out, whoever has the most picture cards wins.

Space Empires 4X
1-4 players, ages 12+, 180+ minutes
By GMT Games

Space Empires is a game in the finest tradition of 4X space games - eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate. Each player builds up a space empire and uses it to conquer the other players. Exploration on the mounted map is simple for players (and dangerous for their ships), revealing different space terrain that affects movement and combat.

Space Empires was developed to keep a rich theme without overcomplicated rules. The game includes carriers and fighters, mines, cloaking, a very large technology tree, fifteen ship classes, merchant shipping, colonization, mining, terraforming, bases, shipyards, black holes, warp points, and non-player aliens. Yet the rules are short and intuitive: The basic rules are 8 pages long and increase to 11 pages in length when the advanced rules are included.

Fields of Fire 2nd Edition
1 player, ages 12+, 300+ minutes
By GMT Games

Fields of Fire is a solitaire game of commanding a rifle company between World War II and Present Day. The game is different from many tactical games in that it is diceless and card based. There are two decks used to play. The Terrain Deck is based on a specific region and is used to build a map for the various missions your company must perform. The Action deck serves many purposes in controlling combat, command and control, various activity attempts. The units of the company are counters representing headquarters elements, squads, weapons teams, forward observers, individual vehicles or helicopters. A single game is a mission and several missions from a historical campaign are strung together for the player to manage experience and replacements. A mission can be played in about 1 – 4 hours.

I believe the paizo boards said this (book of the damned) was like 80% combined and reprinted stuff from previous material. If so, then they've done this a couple times already with other hardbacks... I guess with all the companion series they done that at some point combining like series makes sense. That Wayne Reynolds cover is nice!

the antihero handbook looks like an interesting read, might peruse it when I stop by my FLGS this week or next.
