The main reason I see for making gender of NPCs easiy to identify is to inform the players of the structure of that race's society. It let's them see what roles members of each sex play and from that they can extrapolate more information about those societies.

I don't know how other GMs handle descriptions, but when describing NPCs, I don't talk like this:

"You see an elf. It has small/medium/big boobs."

I talk like this:

"You see a female elf/elvish woman".

I do think boobs on Dragonborn are silly, but I could care less.

As to how you tell the difference in genders without boobs...slender waist, larger hips, more delicate features in the face, and shorter head crests. Maybe even duller scale colors.

And sometimes a little confusion as to the actual gender could lead to some interesting roleplaying!

My Dragonborn have tails too.

Tieflings, not so much.

Oh, and in regards to the OP, Half-orcs should definately be hairy! That pic for some reason makes me think of the subject as an old man though...maybe he's lost most of his hair?

If you drew a picture of the fight though, the elf would probably have small/medium boobs (big boobs on an elf are just wrong .

About the subject, I couldn't care less about the way half-orcs sahve or not(Or it's just some artistic freedom), and I prefer my female HUMANoids as much alike humans it can get. I for one can accept dragon, beholders, owlbears and rust monsters. If they put breats in a Thri-kreen I wouldn't think twice.

Actually yes, I'd almost consider it explicit. Mainly because of what she is wearing.

That is not what large breasts look like. I could be persuaded to find the dragonboobs objectionable if they looked like that.

It's what they SHOULD look like, though, IMHO. And it's what they look like in my D&D, unless detailed to absolute perfection by the DM, which never happens, thank god.
