[art, hosted] Arcana Unearthed wallpaper! CC4! Me at GenCon!

Hi, Kids and Kidettes!

This week (or should I say this month?) I bring a special preview of Counter Collection 4: The World of the Diamond Throne, one of Fiery Dragon's tie-in products for the Arcana Unearthed thingie that jumped out of Monte Cook's brain! CC4 will have an early release at GenCon, so if you're there buying your copy of AU, be sure to drop by the Fiery Dragon booth and get copies of "Plague of Dreams" (a mega adventure by Cook, James Bell and Todd Secord) and CC4!

And while you're there, come shake hands! That's right! After much incertainty, doubts and despair, it is confirmed that Paula and I will be attending GenCon 2003. I'll try and work out a schedule so people can drop by the Fiery Dragon booth (my not-so-unofficial con HQ) at the times I'll positively be there!

Well, chek out the CC4 preview here , then come back and let me know what you think!

Game On!

Great stuff Claudio, I love your work! It's clean enough to read on a counter on the battlemat, but it still has a very evocative style. Nice!

Regarding the races, the red-skinned guy is a Verrik, the reptilian is a Mojh and I believe the minotaur fellow is a Chorrim (one of AU's "heavies"). We also see some Giants, the various Faen races, a Sibeccai, and a Litorian.

Verrik are a wise, psionically inclined race. (Although psionics work a bit differently in AU.) Mojh are people who were formerly humans but underwent a magical transformation to become draconic. They adore and crave magic.

Don't have too much to tell you about the Chorrim. All I know is they are a militaristic, ogre-like race. They're described in The Diamond Throne which isn't out until August.

Thanks for the kind words, Thrommel!

That's actually a Rhodin, one of the brutal ram(kinda)-headed brutes that are the perennial foes of the litorians.

I used to get them all mixed up... :)

We use rhodins a lot in Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed: Siege on Ebonring Keep. That will be available at GenCon as well! The CC will have info and pieces for our adventure as well, it is a pleasure to be working with the FD guys:cool:
