This is very nice, I can tell I'm going to enjoy this series. I particularly like the rough hammer with the hand clutching from the haft (or is it meant to be a rough axe?); it's my character's Dwarven Thrower now. We can also use the slingshot, as the elves in one of our campaigns have them.

Setting it to open as single pages with the thumbnails menu closed seems to have helped a lot. Despite being a larger file than Vol. 1 it doesn't seem to slow the computer down at all.

If your taking suggestions for future volumes, would it be possible to have checklists like the ones in Vol. 1, but for wands and staves? And perhaps for healing potions?

There are also a few items we could use that might be generically useable enough for you to consider:

A metal cube of indeterminate size, perhaps with some designs on the sides. While it could be used for a lot of things, it would specifically help us keep track of who's carrying the Daern's Instant fortress that session. Actually, cubes of various substances might be useful.

A dagger with a blade in the shape of a stylized thunderbolt.

A fan.

Whether or not you use any of the suggestions, I'm looking forward to upcoming volumes. Thanks.

Aitch, thank you! I am especially glad to hear you had a use for the slingshot, I almost didn't put it in thinking it might be to "modern". The little pellet below it is supposed to represent gas/magically filled exploding pellet (thats just what I was thinking when I was doing it, just a suggestion really).

wands and staves?

Consider it done.

perhaps for healing potions?

Well, you could probably use the whole page of potions in Vol 2, but I'll come up with some talismans.

Cool, I'll create a whole page (10 items) of different geometrical elaborate shapes including your suggestion.

No problem, and no problem. I am supposing you mean like an oriental fighting fan? not the Wal-Mart type right?:p

Thank you for participating in the AOTA concept, its about the GM/Player, I have always enjoyed doing work for the public (I use to do custom Airbrush Lether Jackets and T-Shirts a long time ago)

Gotta tell ya, I really like this series a lot. I'm starting a new campaign on Monday and I'm making cards for every single item the players have.

The only suggestion I'd have would be to add some more mundane items, maybe even a whole book dedicated to mundane items. Stuff like a bedroll, a torch, or a backpack. Anything in the Adventuring Gear list in the PHB.

First, thank you for liking the series. I have another branch off of the AOTA series that will take a number of people by surprise I believe in Febuary.

Second, as far as mundane cards..... I did have thoughts in that direction but wasn't sure if it would be of any use to the common player. The only think immediatley that might be useful as far as mundane would be like a Torch check list (like the rations and arrow ones in Arcane #1) and a backpack card with which you could list on the back of the card what you actually carry in your back pack. I'll see what I can brain storm to bring the ordinary mundane into something visually useful and intriguing and slightly different than the Magic Item cards. So as to avoid confusion among players by having too many cards to keep track of.

If you have anymore thoughts, I would be glad to hear them!

Great stuff Shane. I think you have found a great, underdeveloped niche in the market. I am looking forward to the music CD as well - if the matches the quality of the artwork, it will be awesome.

A couple of suggestions that I would like to see in the future - Platemail armor - both Dwarven and Human sized and magical clothing such as capes, vests, hats. A little bit more variety in he dagger department would be much appreciated. :)

Good sugestions all, but hats? Hmmmm haven't even considered that. Guess I never had character actually wear a hat, but I'll give that some thought and reference it a bit to create some unique looking head gear;)

Thank you for your response and liking the product, I have already eagerly started Volume 3 day before yesterday.

OK Waylander! I installed Dwarven Plate armor and other shielding armor devices that are add-on component style. I have had a couple of requests for Volume #3 to favor the Elven crowd, it was originally going to be Class oriented but I think I'll sub-catagorize into sections of race and some classes. Like AOTA #2 has a specialy designed cloak/long duster vest for thieves/assasins full of throwing knives. I personally like making class specific items and will probably expand on that in near future additions!

"Vistas of the Arcane Vol: Ruins of the Forgotten" is about half way done, and is filled with inspiring images and Monster Cards. I really hope to get this out by the 10th (keep the Java comin).
