Hi, Kids and Kidettes!

Some weeks ago I posted a wallpaper featuring seven PCs from Counter Collection 2. But since character counters are just a part of CC2, this week I put up a wallpaper featuring just some of the monsters in CC2: Displacer Beast (who eats a bit more than the MM one), Wyvern (very inspired by the movie Dragonslayer), the Succubus (very inspired by Angie Everhart), the Air Elemental (deep CGI) and the Dark Naga (inspired by Tony DiTerlizzi's rendition in the 2e Monstrous Manual).

Oh, my. The painted nail (and the ring!) on the wussname... dewclaw... of the succubis' wing is a great touch! Very nice. The naga and elemental are just scary.

Something about the shading of her face is off; it makes her face look too flat. I think the wyvern is a tad too humanoid; with arms that thin, it doesn't look like a huge monster so much as a winged person. And for the life of me, I wish you'd grin and bear it and just go in and do the nitty gritty detail work in photoshop for textures, rather than using a filter (like on the succubus' wing). For a piece this large, it's fairly obvious that her wing has been filtered with clouds of some sort, and I think a little more effort by doing it manually would pay off greatly.

Otherwise, though, I like every bit of this very nice piece.

Is it my imagination, or is the succubus wearing something pretty close to what Princess Leia did in Return of the Jedi (the slave bikini)?
