Actually, Ds Da Man, you're not too far off here. Just add "gnome" to your description and you've basically described the nomad psion from the PsiTK line-up.
She (like all my dwarves) doesn't have pointy ears like an elf's. I draw dwarven ears a bit swept back, like Brom used to make for Dark Sun dwarves. That ought to diferentiate dwarves from short, pudgy humans.
