How open are you as a DM to d20 materials?

Will you allow players to use it?

Will you also take the extra work/effort to use it on your end as a DM, or do you just allow it in to placate players?

I'm so open to d20 books it isn't funny. I don't care what the source is, if its good I'll use it. I don't understand people who limit themselves to just certain books. Wizards is no longer producing the best and most creative books, and many many of the smaller companies do outstanding work.

I fall into the OTHER camp because it has varied heavily from campaign to campaign.

I ran a comedy campaign where it was literally "Anything Goes". Since it wasn't at all serious, I didn't care about races, classes, prestige classes or much of anything else. If someone found something and wanted to use it, all they had to make sure of was that I had a copy of the pertinent material. Ta da!

I had another campaign where I had a LOT of restrictions. Only human. Only these classes. Only a very limited group of PrCs. The following spells are Out or In. You are given magic items, but you can't buy them. The material came from WotC and SSS, nowhere else.

My current campaign uses WotC, Green Ronin, a bit of SSS, a bit of Mongoose, and a couple ideas the group came up with on their own.

In general I am fairly open to material, but it all depends on the specific campaign and everything to be added must be GM approved ahead of time. Oh, and what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, meaning if PCs get it, NPCs get it, too.

Well, I am posting even though I didn't choose "Other". :p

I am customizing/developing my homebrew campaign all the time. I am always open to ideas, but I won't necessarily accept anything. Much of the stuff out there doesn't fit the flavor I am looking for directly out of the book. Not a big surprise, nor is it a big deal. If the player really has a strong concept, then I will work with them to arrive at something that fits the parameters of my campaign and gives them what they are trying to achieve.

I'm open to really anything. I take everything on an individual basis, though...I won't ban entire books or companies, and I don't go out searching for things all that much. If a player brings something to me they want to use(even non-Core WotC books) I'll look it over and figure if it has a good place in the world and isn't horribly made. :)

I am running a campaign that is based almost entirely on d20 material. Namely AU.

I generally refuse to admit core D&D material into my game, as it doesn't mesh very well with AU IMHO.

My players (with one exception) seem to be much less receptive to d20 options that I will typically allow them. I want them to bring ideas and different sources to me. I think that one of the truly great things about 3.x edition is the ability to really, and I mean really personalize a character and make it uniquely conform to the character concept. I'd love it if more of my players said "Hey, did you see the UberCronk PrC in SomePublishingCompany's Tome of Excellent Stuff? I want to use that."
