Assassin's Death Attack (studying his targets)

It says that if you study your opponent for 3 rounds, and then make a sneak attack with a melee weapon (change that to ranged attack with the Sniper's Eye spell) that successfully deals damage, the sneak attack has the additional effect of either paralyzing or killing the victim if they fail their save.

It doesn't limit it to just one sneak attack, at least not as far as I can read. And it doesn't say, "on your next successful sneak attack" or anything else like that.

The important part is, if you make a sneak attack after studying the victim for 3 rounds, you have a chance to paralyze or kill them. I don't think it matters if that sneak attack comes from 1 attack or 4 attacks. IMHO of course...

Your own quote contradicts you, IMO. It says after three rounds, if you make a sneak attack, it has extra effects. Not a full round of sneak attacks. Not 4 attacks worth of sneak attack. A sneak attack.

You study your target for 3 rounds. Your next sneak attack is also a death attack.

IMHO of course. ;)

"If a death attack is attempted and fails (the victim makes her save) or if the assassin does not launch the attack within 3 rounds of completing the study, 3 new rounds of study are required before he can attempt another death attack."

You make your first sneak attack for the round, as a Death Attack. Either they fail their save (and they're dead), or they make their save (in which case you cannot attempt another death attack without 3 new rounds of study).

You make your second sneak attack for the round. Either you're attacking a corpse, or you're not eligible to make a Death Attack with this attack...

However, the target must also be completely unaware of you.

After the first arrow / knife stab, you better believe they'll be aware that *something's* up! :D

Everything else aside... Greater Manyshot and the all hit at the same time. A volley only counts as one attack, which is why it's not generally allowed to have sneak attack damage, without this feat.

Heh. Either way-- objects aren't subject to Death Attack. ;)
