Thandorin stands alert behind the monk, his greatspear at the ready.

Isdar looks carefully at the keys once more. Yes, he says. It would probably be best to investigate further before trying to use these.

After another corridor, you step in front of much larger, round room. Like the one before, this one's too is illuminated by torches affixed on the walls. Right in front of you, you can see another great stony sliding door under a stone arch. On top of it, a statue of some sort of winged monster.
Further in the room, you can see that there is an inscription on the floor, but the angle of vision doesn't allow any of you to read, you'd have to move closer to be abe to.

"Isdar, can you see if you can safely get close enough to recognize the language?" Thandorin asks.

That's how I got into trouble last time, but I guess I can try again. Isdar shrugs and stalks quietly closer.

As soon as Isdar steps forward, he hears a click from under his foot. In a split second, a spear springs out of the floor right under him (and a few other places in the room as well), wounding his arm quite badly, and disapearing again into the floor immediately after.
