Ata's Rediscovery of the World(up next:Voda)

After a long search, you have finally been able to find the secret rune necessary to complete the inscription on the portal of the Crypt of Ozynrich and open the stone gate. You find yourself in a corridor that is obviously longer than the structure looked large from the outside. No wonder, considering the rumored powers of the legendary spellcaster.
The walls of the corridor are covered with beautiful, although ruined by time, mosaics, depicting battles, glory, powerful creatures and fearsome monsters. In all the scenes, a recurrent figure: a man of noble aspect, represented at various ages but always recognizable as the same person, and always holding a holy symbol in one hand, a rune of light in the other. That has to be Ozynrich. Here's his place, after all.

After walking for about thirty feet, you find yourselves in a small room, roughly 15-by-30 feet. In its middle, a big sturdy chest, apparently fixed to the floor.
There's a heavy stone door on the opposite wall, and three smaller stone doors on each of the walls at your sides. All of the seven doors have a rune inscripted onto them.

OOC:You can choose your position in the room. Obviously, if you want to open or check he chest, you'll have to be adjacent to it.

Isdar moves carefully into the room, motioning the others to stay back. He searches the chest for any sign of trap before opening it.

Thandorin waits in the hallway for Isdar's examination of the chest. The eladrin grips his greatspear in both hands, a scowl on his grim face.

"Careful, Isdar," Thandorin says. "Who knows what Ozynrich could have left for intruders to find?"

Position - D8

"Thandorin speaks the truth. This place may be full of traps and enchanted runes to avoid intruders like ourselves. I want to think this is for a greater good, but can't help but to feel like a thief. We should not dishonor Ozynrich's rest place." Comments the man standing in front of the eldarin. "... A lot" he adds.
The small eyes of the man search for anything that might scape Isdar knee vision.

OOC: Standing on D7, helping Isdar roll on perception (+8)

Isdar approaches the chest with care, inspecting it scrupolously before touching it, and finds nothing out of place.
[sblock=perception]24 for Isdar with Zuia's help. Too bad, if you had switched rolls...[/sblock]
But it seems it wasn't enough, because as soon as the chest is touched, a purple rune, similar to those on the stone doors, start to shine, though it was invisible before.
At the same moment, the runes on the doors start to shine brightly too, the doors tremble and dust falls, and the stone opens, sliding upwards with great noise.

As you turn alarmed to see what may come out of them, the stink of putrafaction hurts your noses. Undead!
Behind each door, there's apparently a small room, each confining an undead.
Two armored skeletons come out, and two armed zombies. And a couple walking corpses in worse conditions, too.

The two armed skeletons are the fastest to act. Following their brute insinct, both approache the nearest thread to their eternal guard duty, and attack Isdar. Unfortunately, both swords reach their target, and Isdar is hurt badly.

It seems he left us a welcoming gift after all, Isdar manages to say between gritted teeth. Carefully withdrawing from the skeletons, he manages to throw his enchanted dagger at the zombie nearest his companions, I hope you all are able to dodge their swords better than I.

[sblock=ooc] Move Action: Tumble to F6
Minor Action: Draw dagger
Standard Action: Sly Flourish vs. WZ1, hits AC 19 for 18 damage. I didn't add in the +2 from CA, but I didn't subtract for cover, in case the walls of the niches provide any, so it should even out. [/sblock]

Malek's powers hit the Skeleton, with devastating effects. The skeleton almost crumbles to dust, but its ancient bones still seem to support it.

Meanwhile, the zombie hit by Isdar starts to slowly walk towards him, but encounters Zuia first on his way, and mauls at him with a crude mace. Crude but painful.
The other armed zombie makes your way towards you, but is really, really slow and can't get to you.
