Atlantis returns (Arcanum from the 80's)

I am glad of the dual statting so that multiple people can enjoy the setting.

So as for as Atlantis, will it be using the same magic system that Tal4 has? If so, the transition to d20 should be really easy if TalD20 is in your posession.

I can't wait to see the preview!

Yes, the magic system is very close to Tal4. We've made some changes to the Modes and obviously Orders reflect the setting but the mechanics are the same. We're working hard to have a preview ready to show you guys late next week.

The d20/True20 conversions will be unobtrusive in that they will be in appendices, not the main portion of the book. Yes, they will increase the page count but the price is same as if they weren't there. I must note however, Omni is the primary core system for this game. All adventures and sourcebooks planned for release (first sourcebook in October) will focus on the Omni System (which is not that different from d20 anyway). The conversion guidlelines provided in the core book should be all a player needs to use the sourcebooks however.

To quote the new doctor... "FANTASTIC!"

If there is an appendix for conversions then I am happy, and you are right that the OMNI system is similar to D20.

Counting down the days....

I am personally gunning for the big Tal4 book in size. There is a lot of material there!

Just the modified TAL magick system will take a chunk, the gazeteer will be pretty comprehensive, bestiary, pantheons, city maps, region maps.

Wowser. I can't wait.

How big will the new book be? Will it be like the Tal4 book, or like High Medieval in size.

It should come in between the two sizes. We're finalizing layout now and it definetly is in excess of 300 pages. Maybe not quite as big as the BBB (big blue book=Tal4) but not a small tome by any stretch.
