Attacking with two weapons and moving

In a round you're allowed a move and a standard action:

A 12th level ranger is allowed 6 attacks for full-attack with two weapons. Can he instead make a move and two attacks (one for each of his weapons) ? It stipulates on page 155 PHB that when charging you can only make one attack, even if you have two weapons, but I'm not talking about a charge here, just a move and standard attack.

In the same vein, can a 2nd level ranger make a move and an attack with each weapon, thus two ?

I'm being extra precise here because I'm trying to clear out some rules confusion with my DM.

Ok from the rules under Full Attack.

Full Attack
If you get more than one attack per round because your base attack bonus is high enough, because you fight with two weapons or a double weapon or for some special reason you must use a full-round action to get your additional attacks.

Sorry, you must take a Full Attack action to have more than 1 attack in a round. Check Page 124 in the 3.0 PHB. I haven't spent time learning all the 3.5 rules yet, but I don't think it has changed dramatically. However, I could be wrong.

There are ways to get more than one attack without taking a full attack action.

1. AoOs.
2. Cleave.
3. Improved Trip.
4. Pounce effects.
5. Hydra.
6. Choker.

But I'm afraid "I'm a ranger!" doesn't make the list.

Hey smurf ..whats the name of the feat that allows you to charge and still get more than one attack... lions charge or something?

That's a spell in Savage Species.

I don't know of a feat, though there may be one in something like RoF or Unapproachable East.

A few PrCs get a Pounce-like ability as a class feature.

theres a feat from Unapproachable East, Snow Tiger Berserker, that lets you make a full attack at the end of a charge with light weapons.
