Attn: Users under the age of 20 (or thereabouts)

I'm 16, I have maybe one or two friends who are as commited. We all got to the game though computer games, and someone older (31) introducing us. So long as people play DD and Fantasy RPGs exist the game will live.

I'm 19 and have been gaming since I was 15. My various gaming groups have had about 28 people around my age, not to mention the gaming group on the floor of my dorm, and the campus gaming club which has about 50 members. Trust me, the gamer generation isn't dying out any time soon.

Yeah so I'm sixteen.

I am a avid computer gamer (the two hobbies about equal, although I spend 99% of my money on the other, so this may be why the industry is faltering). There is a gamist side of me, and a narrativist side of me, and these hobbies respectively satisfy both.

I was introduced to DnD in middle school. It was a group I used to hang with for the sole purpose of playing roleplaying games, which I was instantly fascinated with: it almost became an obsession. These group of people weren't that good either, but my desire to play overrode that. It was not until we hit about junior year, and half of these people went goth*, and the other half went marijuana, when I realized that my life was more important than a game of DnD. That's when I turned to the internet, and here I am.

As far as people that I game with, I live in a very small, 99.99% white rich town, and so finding good gamers is like finding the proverbial nee...yeah ok, you know it. I prefer to play in mature, more in-depth, longer-lasting games than casual ones, but I simply don't know that many older people, let alone older people who like to game.

I have several friends that are into school. Yeah, just school. School is a pastime that pays off though, because one of my best friends is into Cornell. Yeah. Into Cornell (we are HS seniors). I also have friends that play computer games casually, and a few friends that are really into computer games. I'm short on friends who like to roleplay. It's sad, but I hope college will solve the problem.

*since I realized that some people might actually be offended by this, I'd better add that their is definately a negative stereotype floating around out there, and these guys fit it to the letter.
