AU Mage-Blade in a Regular D&D 20 lvl cmpn

I am rolling up a 20th Lvl Mage-Blade (Human) for a planes-hopping campaign that my GM is running that my last character left due to being a very flamboyant character surrounded by a bunch of people that did not respect him.

Will this work, and if so do you have any suggestions?

BTW the only item that he is taking with him is his +2 Athame (+7 in his hands) and Masterwork Armor.

The Bonus a Mageblade gives to his Athame is an ehancement bonus. So It would not stack with the +2 of the weapon. However. It is defacto Masterwork, so you could give it +2 worth of other enhancements (keen, flaming, etc..) and get a +5 (for 20th level Mageblade) on top of that for a total bonus value of +7. But you can't stack like bonuses.

Okay, what are some good enhancements for his Athame that are fitting to the AU world and are in a total of +2 to +4?

Any Suggestions for this?

Okay, here is what I went with:

Longsword Athame:

Keen (increased Crit range is nice, and saves me a feat slot for an exotic spell)
Flaming (+1d6 damage is nice... :))
Spell Storing (Stores Heightened Speed Drain (lesser))

Nice weapon.... :)

When I played one I took Leadership, and made the athame my cohort. It was pretty well established that the sword was the smart one. :)
