I just finished Age of Miracles, which would have been great when I was twelve, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which I found extremely interesting considering that I thought the protagonist had Asperger's Syndrome. I've been disabused of that notion online, but I have a daughter on the spectrum and I swear the kid had AS.
I've just started Every Dead Thing, which feels very pulpy, which I love, and The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao, which I've heard good things about.
