Aura Classes and Shields

Our Gestalt game at the moment has one gestalt Bard/Marshal and one gestalt Druid/Dragon Shaman.

There's also a Cleric/Melee, a Rogue/Melee, and a Melee/Melee (Gestalt Barbarian/Fighter), so we've got a reasonably clear support/front-line distinction :)

Somebody really should have a level or two in marshal in there...
I dunno. None of them are really Charisma dependent(!), not even the Bard, who only needs a 13 by level 12.

With the Int of the Psion and WarBard, they could cover a ton of skills.

Oooo, I know... throw a level of Marshal on one of the Thrallherd's minions. :) "Meet Sir Bob, Paladin of the Disposable Order of -- I mean, Paladin of the Distinguished Order of..."

The warblade bard archer needs mostly Haste as Nifft said. So a few levels marshal if multiclassing isn't a problem doesn't hurt too much. That badge of valor set is customtailored for marshal/bards, it would be a shame to miss on some of it's options (since you want that badge anyhow).

Divine Mind and bard work well together since the Divine Mind can use other auras. Shields: No good prestigeclasses known to me, the knight class looks nice... perhaps crusader/dragonshaman. Put that guy into the middle with a tower shield and stack the archers behind him. Give him some Enlarge and he'll stop the enemies.

These concepts rock for big groups. Never allow 4 or more aura characters in 9+ PC groups. 5 level 8 archers with good buffers most often easily waste CR 15+ challenges in one or at max two rounds.

Perhaps if you are playing with nine characters you are better splitting into two groups?
No way! I love big groups if the people are comfortable with it. Looooong gaming sessions over the whole weekend (best taking place in some hut in the mountains), lots of drinks and food, some short breaks, in group dynamics ... and not too many group buffs ;)

Great gaming!

One fix is to limit the auras to 1 person/2 class levels or 1 person/class level.

Nope, marshal auras do not stack. The ability description even says as much.

Does a marshal aura stack with a draconic aura?

For example, Motivate Dexterity (which adds the Marshal's Cha bonus to initiative checks) and the draconic Senses aura (which adds the aura bonus to initiative checks)?
