Interesting stuff.

Cloth armor in melee. . . even with the Armor of Faith, I predict leather armor proficiency will be a popular feat choice.

Neither of the Avenger's Censure abilites seems very reliable. I wonder if the powers will be ramped up accordingly, or if they'll be pretty low end damage for a striker.

Indeed. WotC's pre-gen even has leather proficiency!

The powers we see on the pre-gen don't look damage-heavy. Seems as though they trade away some damage for many controller-esque effects, and that awesome oath of enmity.

Agreed. One feat that gives +2 AC for a melee character is hard to ignore.

The key is the Oath of Emnity power. Its been previewed elsewhere. Basically, its an at will that lets you designate a chosen foe. If this foe is the only enemy adjacent to you, you may roll your attacks twice against it and choose the best result. You can't designate a new chosen foe until the end of the encounter or until this one is dead, though.

This incredible increase in accuracy, coupled with two handed melee weapons, gets you your striker level damage. Not necessarily by doing a ton of damage on a hit, but by hitting almost every round that you are able to get your accuracy bonus.

Another tidbit of Avenger info

It didn't seem important enough to make it into the article proper, but one other Avenger tidbit I learned there:

Stephen Schubert is working on editing Divine Power now, and he was handed a couple feats and powers that give the Avenger bonuses to hit. They turned a ~70% to hit to a ~90% to hit. It sounded like those weren't going to make the cut, and will be replaced with other things.

I don't know if I have many more answers than the folks who attended D&DXP this year, but if you have any questions, lemme know!

Leeeet's see. 18 wis, 18 int deva, take leather proficiency at level one; take hide proficiency at level two; take urgrosh proficiency at level four. That's AC 23 by level four with something like a 75% hit chance on a d12 weapon.

I heard that it might be using Dexterity and Wisdom
