Trailer Avengers: Doomsday | Only in Theaters December 18, 2026

The question is whether we get a one and done Doom (which is a bad use of Doctor Doom) or we get RDJ sticking around for years as Doom (which robs us of a Doom that has had a decades-long rivalry with Richards).

Ideally (?) we'd have a multiversal reboot at the end, and we have a new Doom who's "always" been part of the reborn MCU and who has "always" had a rivalry with Reed, who has "always" been part of the new timeline.

I'm not sure how audiences would feel about Crisis on Marvel Earths, though. We'll see what the plot actually looks like when we see it on the screen. (Lots of MCU movies have name-checked Marvel Comics storylines but not actually followed them that closely.)
Sadly I think this will be a name-checked only one-and-done Doom, who's probably an alternate Tony Stark, the Iron Maniac crossed with Proctor (in the "recruiting people from dead realities" way). So we'd only see him for one or two films.

Weren't there some gigantic ones in the comics recently - and by "recently" I mean "in the last 25 years", because I'm old.
Gigantic (20 ft+) sentinels are a staple of X-Men and have been forever. On occasion, you get human-sized ones like the Prime Sentinels or bighuman like Nimrod (both the original one from the Days of Future Past timeline and the modern Orchis-made one from the Krakoa stuff), but "gigantic" is the default mode.
