IC: Gwystol tiptoes over and gets a better look at the Sky Manta. 'Hmm, that;s very interesting...' he mumbles as he pulls out a sketchpad and starts drawing bits of SKy Manta physiology ala Gray's anatomy (well, sort of like Gray's...if Gray did Ogres and Displacer Beasts, anyways...)

Well in that case, I'll cast Summon Elemental I, summoning a Fire Elemental (it will last for 5 rounds, starting on this round).

OoC"Well, a Small Fire ELemental isn't THAT impressive, but he will stay around, and the burning is OK damage.

OOC: Did you factor in my mounted combat feat? I can do a ride check, and if the check is higher than the attack role, Matsui is actually NOT hit.

Also, I readied an action to attack the next manta in sword range, so that should have gone off as well.

Yes I added the Ride check in. I did not remember your saved action so I rolled it now. It still lives even after your sword stroke. but just bearly.

OOC: That's fine. If you could just post a reference to it - "Koboru tries to lean Matsui away from the blow, but fails," for example - that's be appreciated.

Koboru rides over towards the cries of the young girl, his sword still unsheathed should there be more trouble.
