Awaken spell question

RUMBLETiGER

Adventurer
an Awakened animal is turned into a magical beast.

Is there anything RAW that indicates if the lifespan of said creature is increased along with it's mental stats? Anything that says Magical Beast versions of animals live longer?

I was re-reading the Master of Flies PrC, 9th level Awaken Vermin ability and imagining a small bug, gaining sentience, and then dying a week or two later sounded tragically sad.

I want to create "Billy the Beetle, 17th level Wizard" or something, just for fun.

Yes, I know it could be Houseruled, just wanted to know if there was existing RAW to back it up.

Simply put, no there is no provision made for changing the lifespans of awakened creatures, even incarnateded golems who should logically whither and die are never specifically made mortal or given age categories (adult/middle aged/old/venerable), and thus technically do not age.

Alright, thanks for the RAW info @Rampant , and the suggestion @Greenfield ! I'll just pick a naturally long-living bug! Make him a Psion (Telepath), when he hits level 17, he can True Mind Switch into another body, and crush his former existence. Maybe a Black Dragon or something.

The de-aging spell Life Steal could be used in a non-evil manner if you change the target to yourself, then use restoration spells.
It's what I'm planning on doing. Craft magic item with both attached.
Rejuvenation chamber.

Something else which came up when looking for methods of eternal youth was this.

Since there's also a mindswitch feat in there, they could be used together to allow you to jump along your party members to extend all their lifespans until achieving a more permanent method of eternal youth.

And this story might interest you.
The Sword of Good.

Mostly this part:
Before them, in the floor, was a vast pit of worms, writhing over one another in a light coating of slime. Next to the pit was a glass cage of worms, these motionless and rotting; and wires of red metal ran from the glass cage to the ceiling. The room smelled of cinnamon and decay.

"Dolf?" Hirou said. "What are we looking at?"

"A Wormarium..." Dolf blinked, and swallowed. "I have... heard of this. That any wizard, even the Lord of Dark, would sink so low -" Dolf swallowed again. "The Lord of Dark is draining the life force of the worms in order to sustain himself. He need not eat or drink, he will not age, he is cut off from the cycles of his own flesh. The ordinary decay of his body, is transferred to the worms; and the life of the worms -"

Think it would work well with Ioulaum's Longevity if it's range was reduced to six feet or even touch?

And if anyone would claim it was evil... Excerpt Two:
"You suck the life from worms," Selena said coldly. "I know darkness when I see it."

The Lord of Dark's gaze scarcely flickered in her direction. "Be silent, eater of mammals."
