Everytime this subject has cropped up people started yelling that its wrong to single out and objectify women. So i was trying my best not to do that.

I wanted to take pics of all the intresting girls at the con, period :-D

Needless to say, all but one girl was flattered.....and that one..well her BF kinda growled at me.

Well, when all you have to go on is a picture, it's kinda hard to find someone "interesting" for things other then appearance, isn't it? Sure, the girl might be extremely nice, have a great sense of humor, be very smart, etc.. But unless there's an interview along with the pic, there's no way to know that.

Morale of the post? Next GenCon, do an interview with each and every girl there. If I'm able to attend, I'll help ya out.

Ladies and gentelmen, if you will now direct your attention to your right and take a look at picture IM000853 from the galleries, there's only one thing i can say. I feel cheap! It's not because she might not be a nice person, but by looking at the background and the trained pose and smile, i can only come to one conclusion she's there only for our 'benefit'. Hell, i'm definately attracted, but the thought that people are misusing that knowledge at something such as GenCon kind of makes me angry. My anger is not specifically directed at the girl, but more at the people running that booth. What's next, will the porn industry run a couple of booths at next years GenCon, i'm sure there would be a lot of 'game nerds' drooling all over such stands...

For next gencon I'm gonna ask people that are intrested to sign up to help me in advance. I spent a lot of time taking pics and didnt get as much to walk the floor.

I still had fun but it would be nice If I had a crew.

Who knows maybe one day it can turn into its own website.
But for now, a simple gallery is cool.

I do however ask that anyone else who posted pictures please edit the comment to the picture to add Photo By <name of photographer> and Posted by <name of poster> if they are diffrent people.

I dont want people giving me credit for pics I didnt take. I'll eventually be fixing the ones I posted too, slowly.

i think this gallery is exactly what it should be, it shows a healthy cross-section of the women who actually went to GenCon, and has The Lead Developer of Pirates! in it (in our "Seaside Pub" booth, finally I see a pic of it other than in virtual GenCon).

That was your booth? With the book for naval combat or something that I was asking about and took a pic of the pirate lady and had a cup of water?

Do'h! I never went back to buy the book I wanted from there.

So much as well though, my luggage is lost so i wouldnt have had the book either way.
