Baby, you can drive my car

I would love to have a classic muscle car like an old Malibu or something, if only I had a place to keep it, and had money for the upkeep.

I live in Motor City USA land of SUVs and huge full size pick ups. Unlike the car culture here, I'm partial to Toyota and Hondas, I guess since I didn't grow up here lol..

I drive a Toyota Corolla.

I drive a smart fortwo, the best car on the planet :)

Oh man, I LOVE the SmartCar. Ever since I saw them on my first trip to Paris, I knew that one day I would own one. They start releasing them in the states in 2006. I can't wait!

Although, right now I own no car because I'm a poor college student and I live in the DC Metro area. I'll gladly accept donations though. ;)

I'm in the real Upstate NY, a few hundred miles north of where the X-Men stomp around. With 98 inches average snowfall and blizards that frequently bury entire 4-door sedans to 3-4 inches past the roof, you either own an SUV, or your friends with SUVs come and pull you out through the knee-deep un-shovelable hardpack.
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer SL, which gets surprisingly good gas mileage for all the hype. I fill the tank once a week, and we end up all over a 50-mile area during weekend shopping. In the summer, you can't make your way through Rochester without seeing a fully restored classic car, some dating back to the 1920s, every ten or fifteen minutes at random. Its not unusual to see a massive Winnebago blocked and covered every couple few streets either.

I don't think I could ever get 6'1" me, 6'2" older son, his fiancee, my wife, my younger son, my cat's crate, my two beagle/basset dogs, and 400 bucks worth of groceries in that for a typical weekend of errands. :) Not to mention molding, paint, tools, lumber, etc for working on the house… Or the 14-year-old’s bicycle, which fits in the back.

Northern Virginia seems to be a good place to have just about any type of car or SUV, so it is easy and that strange to spot just about any type of car.

Me and my hubby currently have an Accord. He is still mourning the loss of his 4runner though so we are looking at what new and fun SUV's are out there... ones that work as SUV and okay for city driving.

Hybrids used to be big, but apparently next year or possibly this year the law allowing hybrids in the HOV lanes may be dropped. It let people drive even with only one person in the car in the HOV lanes. It was a big push for quite a few people I know, but now they are pissed DC is even thinking of eliminating this incentive.

In other words, just about any SUV made in the last five years. :D That's been a major market driver for a long time now; we've long ago realized that for the most part, when people say they want SUV, what they really want is a minivan that's cooler and has AWD. If you want some serious off-roading, you better look at Jeep (Wranglers only), Hummer or Land Rover; 'coz nothing else is serious about going off-road anymore.

I mostly take public tranport but my wife and I have a 2004 Opel Astra (comparable to the Ford Focus).

Not a particulary flashy car, but it's world's better than the one we started with: A 1998 Lada.

Ahhhhh!!! MINI-VANS EVERYWHERE! Okay, so maybe I exaggerate a tad. There seems to be lots 'o them 'round herethough.

I currently drive a '96 Dodge Dakota 4x4, extended cab pick-up! Yeee-haw! Okay, so it's only a mid size truck...thanks for rubbing it in!

I'm going to need something else by September though...cramming myself, my fiancée, and two kids into that small cab sure wont be very fun. Maybe I can get a mini-van! Yeah...that would be super... :\

silver Toyota Yaris 1.0 liter. Should be about 5 yrs old. Nice little car that does what it's told and never ever needed any kind of repairs (other than swapping out "replacables") so far (which is good, because I have no clue about car repairs :)).

Next I'd like one of those Mercedes M (silver or black). :D

You don't need a car, you need a bag of holding!

;)
