Babylon 5 scripts available

I haven't seen any mention of this on the board, and I hope it doesn't break any rule regarding advertisement and such (it shouldn't, not any more than announcing that certain books have been released).

Anyway, those who are fans of Babylon 5 might be interested to know that JMS has started to sell the scripts he wrote for the show (92 out of 110). So far, two volumes have been published (via Cafepress), with 12 more on the way, plus one special volume that only goes out to those who have bought all the other 14. For more information, see http://www.babylon5scripts.com/ (heck, even if you're not interested, go there and read the FAQ... it's fun stuff).

From JMS's comments about it in various fora (probably mostly rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5.moderated - I'm on a mailing list where I get copies of his posts, so I don't pay too much attention to the source), the two script books released so far have been smashing successes. The first one overwhelmed Cafe Press, but apparently they've now wised up and focused more resources on it.

As I understand, the script books themselves are pretty much print-on-demand (which is why the project has such a short turnaround time), so they'll be available in perpetuity. However, the special 15th volume, which is given as a gift to those who bought all the others, is apparently only going to be available for an as-yet unspecified time (but 90 days have been mentioned) after the release of volume 14.

My copy of Volume 1 came the day before Thanksgiving. My mistake was in taking it to my parents' house the next day; I had to leave it for them to read! :)

What I was able to see was very promising. Keeping up with the releases will be extremely tough ($30 per book, every three weeks or so, for 14 volumes!), but worth it in the end, methinks. Lots of behind-the-scenes goodness.
