Backara Herald Issue I

Backara Herald Issue I will be released on June 29, 2002.

I'm sure that many of you have questions about what will be in the Herald and where you can get it. This thread is to answer those questions.

What is the herald?
The herald is a monthly publications that features articles and columns about backara. We are hoping to make it larger with time and include more content. If you would like to write and article or column for the Herald please contact anna dobritt, goblin or gurgi.

Where can I get it?
Currently the Backara Herald will be hosted on Drawmack.com and Backara.co.uk. We are still developing the subscription and download programming, this is a volunteer venture and our chief whip is in the hospital so please be patient.

What is in it?
Issue I will include the following:
* Backara, Piece by Piece - This is a monthly column that will detail a specific site or loaclity in Backara. In Issue I you'll find out where Freetown gets it's food from.
* Rogues Gallery - Take an indepth look as some of the famous NPCs of Backara. This issue, Lord Backara
* Expert Templates - These are templates that can be used with the Expert class from Core Rulebook II in order to build new classes quickly and easily.
* A new weapon - That's right a brand new weapon for DMs and Players to drop
* Marine Life on Drois Isles - This article will give you a look at the sea creatures of the Drois Isles
* Talos the First Coming - From the very begginings of humanity they have been here, guardians of their people feared warriors and religious icons. These people were the Talos and while many have forgotten their existance not all have, they havent. They are the Talos, and you'll find out a lot more in this article.
* Penny Forum - An insiders glance at the development forums from Mortality.
* Contest - This month's contest is sponsered by Thunderhead Games and is called Name that World.

Y'know, I hate to be a negative Nellie, but if the only response to this thread over the course of five days is you bumping it, then it looks like there isn't a whole lot of interest. It's natural selection, man - let it go to Valhalla, or wherever it is that threads go when they drop off of the first page.

Oh, and some unsolicited advice. I noticed a lot of misspellings and typos and whatnot in your ad, and in your subsequent chiding of the non-inquisitive. Perhaps people are thinking that's an indication of the quality of the Backara Herald. It's an impression that I personally get, at any rate. Anyway, that's just my opinion. Good luck on this.
