Backgrounds of Military Characters - an observation.

What struck me about BnG: Soliders was that the Specialist class could be easily tweaked to make him a bit like the Martial Arts Master --- almost a collection of seperate classes, one for each MOS, emphasizing mastery of the skills associated with that MOS and providing bonus feats and class abilities geared toward that MOS.

So you could have an Intelligence Specialist, an Aviation Specialist, etc....even an Infantry Specialist [if you want to max out in skills like Survival and Spot]. They would stand in contrast to more combat-oriented advanced classes [which would have a better BAB and hit dice, among other stuff].

Then...as a companion to the Specialist, you have the SpecOp. To get in the door, you need to take a feat representing a particular unit. Better BAB, access to talents, etc. Each unti has a list of talents and bonus feats available...a Special Forces team member might need [or at least want] a level or two of Specialist to qualify for their team position.

Obviously, you're broken it up into a few more options.

Yeah...I think I see where you're going with this, Vig. Looking forward to it.
