Minor bug with the game.

Not a bug, actually.

And if you don't mind going all hack-n-slash, reload-replay for a few hours you can even get the whole kit'n kaboodle.

Bah, you can pickpocket him for not one, but two of his scimitars and he'd never notice. Not necessarily a bug in the sense that you're very unlikely to succeed (not with a low-level thief anyway), but still there's saving and loading...

I've fond memories of playing BG, especially after my lead character got the stinking cloud special ability. Due to a bug he he had unlimited uses of it per day. Breezing through the hobgoblin camp was never easier. Just knock them out and pepper them with arrows or send that LE dwarf (he was kinda resistant) for a coup de grace.

Well, I'm not sure what it is. Our alignments match really well. I'm just going to complete his quest and then see if he'll rejoin me. I think it's just some scripting that's interacting weirdly. Every other time I've played this game, I declined having him join my party, so I've never had this experience before.

BS: I'm still working on the first one too. I got to the poison part, and could never find the people I was supposed to, so I kept dying. I had to restart the game. This is about the third or fourth time I've gone through it, what with computer trouble and game trouble . . .

I just take my save files from location to location, I’ve played on 3 or 4 computers now, and I’m pretty sure your father than me… I’m just a horrible slacker. (But you knew that already. )

HA, pick-pocketing Drizzt is nothing. In BG2 you can pickpocket Ihtafeer's head and she won't notice if it succeeds!!

There are bugfixes that go beyond the official ones. Here's a page that has them.

I always played with only one PC I created. I thought the NPC interactions, Minsc vs. Edwin, etc. were the best parts of the game.
