what would it cost me to make sure people who post vin diesel threads "accidentally lose their posting privileges?

If (or rather "when" ) you see an unnecessary Vin Diesel thread, report it to a moderator and we'll take care of it.
(In case you already did that, I'll go and check my mail now... )

As for killing off posters: Can't help you there at the moment; our Admins are at GenCon...

No problem; I can see your point, given that I had to combine four separate Vin Diesel threads into one only a few days ago...

(Also, after reading this thread, I looked around a bit and found a Vin Diesel thread that I decided should be in Non-RPG Sci-Fi/Fantasy Discussion instead of GD - so I moved it. )
