D&D General Bannerets: The Tactical Geniuses with Int 8

Correct: they dissected the Warlord, divided it into tiny pieces, and then threw those pieces into the (four, separate) Fighter, Rogue, Bard, and Monk blenders.

In other words, pretty much the exact opposite of what Mearls claimed. It isn't that the Warlord was a mix of Bard and Fighter. It was its own class, and actually needed the backing of a whole class to function. They killed it, minced it, and sprinkled the bits across four other classes, so you can be 10% Warlord on a Fighter, or 5% Warlord on a Monk or Rogue, or 0% Warlord on a Bard but pretend that your explicitly magical (and usually spellcasting) effects are somehow actually not magical at all la la la la I can't hear you saying it's magic and thus doesn't work in an antimagic field and requires somatic and verbal components and la la la la I CAN'T HEAR YOU
Agree to disagree.
