Sounds cool. But how would you handle it?QUOTE]

Howzabout:
The quarry could be non-native to the area, or marked by paint or a magical sign (so it could be "the golden boar" or "the silver deer" or something like that).

I like this. I'll probably handle it just like you said. One marked animal (the mark will be obvius but won't spoil the animals chance to hide.

Got to have a drinking contest somewhere.

Guess so. ;) They do live close to dwarf lands. You'd think some of the short folks better customs would be aquired. Straight on Con checks. Probably use the Drinking rules fof the drunken master.

And to mix it up in a swimming contest some more, how about some barriers that require the swimmer to go under the water and through an opening in order to advance. The swimmer has to dive to look for it, maybe with Spot checks to sight it or Dexterity checks to feel for it. But if he doesn't find the opening in X number of rounds, he has to come back up for air before trying again, costing time.

This is pretty good. Consider it used. ;)

Thanx.... I think my players will have a blast: I have two rangers and a barbarian. Plus a melee cleric. And even the Sorcerer is tough :D

The People of the Black Blood could come in and capture the Uthgardt and release them all in a massive High Hunt! Sorry, just going over my Silver Marches book today and those Black Bleeders are some scary dudes.

Seriously.
