Barda: TV RPG-show for teens and tweenies

Alright. This is a docusoap akin to Survivor only the premise is not castaways but adventurers in a magical kingdom. The realm is called Barda and it used to be a happy place but now evil has cast a long shadow on the land.

In the first episode the kids are charged with the mission to enter Barda and retrieve a magic crystal. The problem is the wizard that had the crystal might have gone over to the dark side whilst summoning a demon. The kids are given weapons and spells needed to overcome any challenges.

For sure the show is in Swedish but it should be fairly easy to follow since you guys know your fantasy clichées. It's rather dull the first ten minutes when they introduce the kids and the concept but it picks up.

Is this a good way of ensuring the repopulation of the hobby? I sure like it but the show has been called super-nerdy. -Guess that should be expected, huh?

I could see this done in the same mold as Who Wants to be a Superhero. My only problem with it, is that I would rather see it without the gameshow aspect survivor has inspired in so many "reality" shows. I want to see teamwork and community winning out for once....
