When we were ship wrecked we had 2 one had flower in it the other rum. eventually the flower went bad, it had gotten wet in the wreck. So we started filling that barel with water that our clericish charachter prayed for. I think we left the rum on the edge of the jungle and just took the water barrel.

Tooo funny!

Boy, am I glad I asked about other reasons! I love this stuff.

A long time ago there was a thread about uses for a 10 ft. pole. Hilarious stuff. But I think this has potential to top that!

I think my character is going to have to get a cohort to be responsible for taking care of all of the barrels he is going to start hauling around on campaigns. :p

Hey. I've been in 2 parties where barrels of oil were used. One time we brougfht one to make flamig traps when defending a place. The other time the wizard kept a couple of Shrink Itemed barrels of oi arround ion case we wanted to torch something (he was a transmuter w/o evocation).

Implements of mass destruction.

DM: There is a picture of a torch on the door with a circle around it an a line through it.

Me: I open the door slightly and peer in.

DM: You see lots and lots of barrels

Me: We're in a dwarven mine right?

DM: Yeah (a little worried at this point)

Me: Everyone in that room over there. I open the door and prop it with a rock.

DM: Okay (sounding more worried)

Me: I tie a string to the stick and run it into the room everyone is hidding in.

DM: Alright (even more worried)

Me: I go into the room with everyone else prepare an oil bomb and ask the wizard to cast permanent image of us playing cards in the powder room.

DM: No (frightened)

Me: I wait for the 30+ orcs that ae chasing us and as soon as they enter the powder room I throw my oil bomb in behind them.
