Sorry if these have been posted. The pics are unidentified, but if it is indeed the batmobile, it looks like they're going for a The Dark Knight Returns kind of feel which as all good, AFAIC... :)

Yeah, call me old fashioned, but a non-Dark Knight Returns Batman should not have a BatTank. I'll take my Batmobile's sleek and swift, thank you very much.

It's a sad fact, but at this point, it only takes one bad piece of news for me to become convinced a genre movie is going to suck. So far, it hasn't really failed me.

I dunno. Burton's batmobile is still my favorite, but I keep flashing back to the Schumacher bat-mobile and AFAIC, any batmobile that lacks blue neon running lights is an improvement... ;)

okay, not sure if this is true or not....but I heard a rumor somewhere that, the reason why the batmobile looks like that is this: Bruce steals from his own Wayne Industries a prototype military armored vehicle experimental thingy for his own vigilante use. That's why the batmobile doesn't have bat wing fins and aftermarket body parts on it. He's just started his career as Batman, and he's just stole this armored vehicle prototype. He hasn't had time to "bat theme" it yet.

If this rumor is true, it makes sense, and the design and look is just fine. Let's wait and see and not jump to any premature conclusions too soon now. :)

True. They might be inspired by the huge landwagon he had in Dark Knight Returns, built for a specific purpose - could be that as well. It's all too early to tell.

I like it. It makes a lot more sense than all the sports-car versions of the Batmobile, that's for certain. It looks a lot tougher and more "real". I just wish they'd either get rid of the jet engine altogether, or made it massive enough to look reasonable, not like this oversized exhaust pipe they keep on using...

Hopefully, the new bat-suit won't have molded latex bat-buttocks, bat-nipples and bat-codpiece either, if this is indicative of the direction they're going with the visuals...
